LDR or Long Distance Relationship: Surviving it, Thriving it.
I’m writing this article to encourage and to give sort of tips to those Filipino women out there having an OFW husband/boyfriend. Long distance love affair, does it really works? It’s really hard to deal with this kind of relationship. When your husband or your boyfriend working overseas, a thousand miles away. I’ve been in a long distance relationship before, with my -ex but this is different because I know and feel that our feeling is mutual and it is not a one-sided love affair.
To deal with it, we used to communicate by telephone calls, Internet messaging like YM or Skype and mobile phone calls ( this one is too expensive even the telephone calls, the rate of call is not that friendly :=)). I personally recommend to utilize the Internet as a means of communication because you can conversate and talk with your loved ones without limitations (time and cost limit). It takes the pressure of constant talking and it’s really fun!. The only requirement is of course to have a DSL or an Internet connection then voila! you can now chat and even view each other face to face (if you have webcam). Read the rest of this entry »
